I agree on the James Rollins books, they'd make great movies especially if done right. One series I can think of is Clive Cussler's Dirk Pitt series. Yes, granted there have already been two, but Raise the Titanic was missing too much stuff (including Al Giordino), and after the review I heard from my dad, I didn't even bother seeing Sahara.

I'd also like to see some movies based on Jack Du Brul's Philip Mercer series. He writes similar to Cussler and Rollins, and has actually co-authored a couple with Cussler. And John Ringo's stuff would probably make good movies. I'd enjoy seeing adaptations of his Ghost series, and Von Neumann's War would be cool on the big screen.

I agree with Margs91 and Yara that those two series would be good movies but the best series that should be made in to movies would be the Anita Blake Vampire Hunter Series by Laurell K. Hamilton. They are the best books ever and they have an overlaying mystery in the whole series but also a mystery in each book that has to be fixed before the last page. the many characters have different personalities and they mix together to make a very diverse community.
