The Farmer's Almanac is not always right but it has been around for years so it must be predicting some things right. This is what it says for the Missouri area for November

And of course we will be getting snow in December. Missouri weather changes so fast it is hard to predict what will happen. It goes from hot to cold to rainy to ice. You just never know. Just watch the weather and if they say the highways are bad, don't risk it.
You can also go here (scroll down to the "Weather Time Machine") and type in the zip and past dates to check the history of the weather in the area

We usually get a few light dustings in mid and late December. January and February are usually peak times for significant snowfall in St. Louis. I can only recall a couple significant snows before December. Last year was hell for ice storms. The first & worst was the first week of Dec. (if I remember correctly).
