If your dish was installed, by a local company, call them for support. If not, you will have to call Dish Network, hope you understand a foreign lanquage. If you had the tv when your dish was installed, they should have done that for you. It took me 10 months and a complaint to our state Att. General's office, to get an issue resolved with this company, so good luck.

to program a dish remote to your TV to control volume, tv power, and any other function of the tv. first, look up the codes for your manufactors TV in the owners manual of your dish reciever.

Now on the dish remote, hold the clear TV mode button at the top of the remote down until all 4 mode buttons light up and then release the TV button.

Now enter the first code for your TV and then press the # button on your remote. if it is a valid code, the TV button will flash 3 times.

Now test the code by trying the volume on the remote. If the volume is working, put the remote back in SAT mode by pressing the SAT button once. Now you should be able to change satalite channels and adjust the volume.

If the code didnt work, repeat all these steps again with the next code for your TV.

If none of the codes worked, you can try a power scan. To do this:

Hold the TV mode button down until all mode buttons light up and release it.

press and release the power button on the remote.

now about once per second start pressing the channel up button. every time you press it, the remote sends a code to the tv to try to control it. once it finds a code that works, your tv will power off. When the TV powers off, stop pressing channel up and press the # to save that code in your remote.

if none of the above works, your dish remote may not have a code programed in it to control your TV

I think you are suppose to have a dish network person do it for you. my advice would be to call dish and have them take you through this step by step. it will be much faster than doing it on your own
