All the credit goes to the Navy players and coaching staff, who took the opportunity and capitilized on it. They will forever be remembered as THE squad that ended the losing streak. But this is a Notre Dame team that makes the Gerry Faust era look absolutely fantastic.

good for Navy they got homered on that phantom pass interference and still won. I hope Notre Dame keeps losing so everyone will have to admit Charlie is overrated,
To the poster who said they will be in the pre-season top 10 unfortunately you are prob right they are overrated a lot because of the name on the jersey

They are worst than pitiful, beating a team like Navy has been a tradition for the Irish, this will only proof that letting Ty Wilingham go and replacing him with Charlie Weiss was a big mistake,Ty must be grinning from ear to ear,and the person who said the Irish would be ranked in the Top Ten next year is correct, the Irish are ranked because of name only, they do not earn their ranking like the rest of the college teams

It's pathetic. But next year they'll be ranked in the Top 10 in the preseason polls once again.
