I bought Guild Wars, but when I opened it, I got a trial key to give to a friend. The actual cd key for more than 14 days is missing as well as the booklet for the game. I tried to email support but they keep saying "The key code is in the box" over and over, even though I've told them it is not. How can I resolve this without having to spend another 40 dollars??

I tried that. They said since the box is open I probably lost it, and wouldn't replace it.

Where did you buy the game? Did you buy it used? If so you're out of luck. Online MMO style games can never be bought used. Accounts are not transferable.

If you bought it new, then the game key should be on the same envelope that the trial key is printed on. If you can't find it, take it back to the store and have a sales guy help you.

Where did you buy it? If you bought it at gamestop they should let you take it back. If at best buy, Sorry you are out of luck. They don't take back opened sofware, unfortunately (I know, I have tried before.

But there is another way, call support aain and repeat what you have already done, if they continue to tell you the same thing, I'm sorry you have to say this, but tell thme you are prepared to take legal action if they don't listen to you when you say that there isn't anything there and they don't replace your game. Even if you're not prepared.

Hope this helps, I usually hate answers like this because I don't like threatening people. But not everyone is the same.
