Domestic spending is the only thing NOT wasting our money. Every dollar that goes overseas is a dollar not spent on our own citizens.

you must be republican. i pay taxes so maybe my government will do something for ME, only a republican thinks i can do it alone, there's no homeless, and ppl only want a handout. I work full time, slightly above minimum wage, and my take home pay is less than my mother's social security. I am lucky to eat 2 meals a day, no insurance, and a pair of shoes on my feet about to fall off. Winter's here and I pray i can pay the heat bill. Why would we need domestic spending, right??

I'm not sure what you mean by `domestic spending,' but aren't you and I domestic ? Where else do you want it to go?
And , by the way if you haven't heard, the Government gets `their' money from people like me and you.

Domestic spending that benefits ALL Americans is the best - and only - investment our government should be making. Runaway spending on an unconstitutional, illegal, unjustified, immoral 'war' just to 'get even' with Hussein for humiliating George H.W. Bush during Desert Storm, is an obscene waste of taxpayers' dollars. But our elected officials don't see it as "our" money - they have come to believe that they can squander it any way they damn well please because it doesn't belong to "us". It belongs to them. It's time to take back our country and make politicians understand in no uncertain terms that they are PUBLIC SERVANTS - not privileged royalty. -RKO- 11/03/07

Oh sure...I think we should be spending more on the war. If that isn't a good idea, then we could just start a new one. We certainly don't want to give children health care, protect social security, our roads or bridges, or spend it on anything beneficial for Americans. We are used to the rich getting rich, on the backs of everybody else! Why change?

no, taxes should pay for domestic affairs because they serve the people. which is the point of the government.

No. What's really wasting money is this useless, illegal, immoral & unwinable war. It's draining us dry.
