Oh boy.....here goes.

My music collection consists of...

Metal (Pantera, Machine Head, Sepultura, FNM...)
(skate) Punk (NOFX, Pennywise, Rancid...)
Riotgrrrl (of course!) (Bikini Kill, Babes in Toyland, L7...)
Rock (from 1960's onwards)
Industrial (Rammstein, NIN, Ministry, Pitchshifter...)
Grunge (Soundgarden, Alice in Chains, Nirvana...)
Britpop/indie (Blur, Elastica, Ash, Pulp...)
Acoustic (Jack Johnson, John Butler Trio, Bernard Fanning..)
Dance (Prodigy, Aphex Twin, Fatboy Slim, Moby...)
Hip-Hop/Rap (Dj Krush, Beastie Boys, Jurassic 5, Eminem..)
Film Soundtracks (Fight Club, Pi, Gladiator, Tarantino's, Big Lebowski...)
Alternative (Eels, Sonic Youth, Pixies, R.E.M, PUSA...)
Weird (Ween, Mr Bungle, Fantomas...)

I also like Psychobilly, Hardcore, Soul, Motown, Pop songs from my childhood....the list goes on ;-)

As you can see I really don't believe in liking one genre of music and refusing to listen to anything else. It's good to be open to new sounds and experiences. Doesn't matter what the label says, as long as you like it. :-)

Not very, I listen to classic rock, namely Pink Floyd, The Who, The Doors, David Bowie, and Styx, plus the occasional 80's band, like the Police, and then apart from Supergrass and Muse, which both started in the 90's, only bands that have come out in the last three or four years, like Franz Ferdinand, People in Planes, The Killers, and so on.

So, a few bands from the 60's-70's, and bands from 2003-on really. With a few exceptions.

My personal collection includes classical music from early Gregorian chants to Aaron Copeland, blues, jazz, ragtime, popular tunes from the late 1800's to the 1920's., Big Band, pre rock and roll vocal standards, pre rock and roll r&b, soul, r&b , psychedelic, blue-eyed soul, Motown, old school rap & hip hop, reggae, Cajun, Latin, heavy metal, classic rock and roll, hard rock, doo wop, country/western from the 1920's through the 80's, bluegrass, folk music, alternative, a little opera, Broadway show tunes,etc.. I have musical selections in almost every genre of music there is.

I'd rather listen to any of the above than 99% of what they call music today.

I'm pretty selective in music. I listen to only a few styles of rock; Grunge, Post-Grunge, Alternative Metal, Heavy Metal, and Classic Rock.

I go for jazz fusion, progressive rock, glam rock, synthpop, post-punk, hardcore, punk, Latin American rock, Italian symphonic prog, psychedelia and more.

Anything but grunge and any sort of 90s and 00s junk.
