I got a Intel Duo Core 2 Catrino using Vista window (?) and everything's been going great, but sometimes it would be really, extremely slow when it comes to multi tasking. I'm not an expert at computers, but I would be waiting for 20 min and it's still loading. Then I end up shutting it down unexpectingly and starting it again. Did I get a junk laptop or is it because it's new... ?

Well, you need to say how much ram you've got?!
If it's less than 1 gb then you will face problems while multi-tasking if you use Vista.

1.5 Ghz would be enough for your CPU for the things that you are doing, but what about your ram memory?! right-click on 'my computer' and click 'properties', on the General tab it will say how much ram you've got.

Ok, then it might be a spyware or Virus, just install a good anti-virus and perform a scan.
But, if you run like 4-5 programs, except explorers, then your system might become slow because of your CPU speed, but I'm not really sure.

From what I understand, when you have window vista you need to have at least 1GB or higher to have your computer run faster. Windows Vista takes a lot of space up. That is the only thing I can think that might be doing it. You can also take it to where you got it and have them check it.

i would find out how much ram it has because if it is less than 512 or 448 it probably does not have enough to make it run fast. if it has enough ram i would take it back to the shop you bought it from and tell them something must be wrong with it.or get them to put more ram in it.

it might already have a virus or spyware. I hope you get software to clean all that stuff up.
