My son has been asking for years for me to take him to San Antonio. I went some years back and he has seen all the pictures of all the places I went and has wanted to go. I haven't been able to afford to take him, because I had to spend what little child support I got on food, clothes and such. Now that I am getting more financial help, would it be alright to take some of the child support and take my son on a weekend trip to San Antonio?

Yes because it is something for him and it's something that he want's. Besides the fact child support is not just for the child but it is there to help you raise your child and do things for him and buy things for him that he needs or wants. So go for it. Take him and have fun you both deserve it after all. Have fun and have a safe trip..

You want to take your son on a trip it is okay because the money is being spent on the child to enjoy himself probably something long over due.

I don't see why not...it is no ones concern what you spend child support money on....if he has his needs met...I say go ahead and go to San Antonio....Children also need vacations every now and then...

yes, that would qualify as support as well. child support is for all aspects of supporting your child. not just food and clothing. have fun!!

definately!!!! food, shelter, clothing is not really something your son will remember you doing - 'as a memory'
A vacation with his mom - is something that your son will cherish for a lifetime- Memories!!!
