About 2 minutes, even using one of those needle threading gadgets. My eyes are pretty bad.

About ten seconds if I take my glasses off. I have extremely bad eyesight and have never been able to thread a needle with them on but about twenty years ago, I discovered I can see in great detail close up if I take them off so it amuses people that even though I'm blind as a bat without my specs, I always take them off to thread it.

Put a white paper behind the hole and all will be clear.
