Maybe the most corrupt city in the Great Lakes area. You want the most corrupt city in the country, that would be Washington, DC -- with New Orleans a pretty close second. In the world, I would have no idea.

I think that Detroit is more corrupt than Chicago, I have to admit with the corruption in Chicago things do get done while in Detroit, the corruption robs the city and nothing gets done.
Chicago is cleaner city than Detroit. There are more corporate headquarter jobs in Chicago than in Detroit. Chicago has a mayor who loves the city while Detroit mayor steals from the city. Chicago has public transportation system with burbs while Detroit one is a big fat joke.
Beside corruption, you should look at the results.

I am not sure whether it is Chicago, Detroit, New Orleans, Washington DC, Baltimore, or some other Liberal city. I will guarantee you that if you look at the infamous Red and Blue map, that 90% of the most corrupt places are in the BLUE!
Need I say more?

It probably was, a long time ago when Al Capone ruled the place. But not any more.
Statistics say that the most corrupt cities in America are now New Orleans and Detroit.

Corruption in a large city in America is certainly not limited to Chicago. What specifically is it about the Windy City that you're taking issue with?

Hey, why hasn't anybody named Detroit? I live in Los Angeles now, but I was raised in the motor city and I know for a fact that, regarding corruption, we were #1, or close to it. I think Los Angeles is in the running, too. Why hast thou forsaken these two fine, corrupt cities?
Moody Red: I remember when the Northwest section of Detroit was the best side. Yikes! It looks like a war zone now!

Chicago is far from the most corrupt city in the world, but, probably, is in the running for most corrupt in this country. I think that Chicago's largest competitor for that title would be New Orleans.

Thanks Gramma! I grew up in "Murder City " too. I had to move my dad out of the northwest side of Detroit a few years ago . He was cutting his grass when I went to see him. I got out of my car and bullets were flying all over the place. I grabbed my dad and headed for the house. Later that day we gathered some things and got him out of there.
I can't imagine a place more horrendous!
