I love the sentiment behind Lilia -- so flow wouldn't concern me, short of anything ridiculous ;) -- and Gwendolen has always been a favorite. Gorgeous name!
I wouldn't, however, use the "Gwendolyn" misspelling. Common a mistake as it is, it completely negates the lovely meaning of the name itself! Literally the Welsh "gwen" (meaning fair, white, blessed) and "dolen" (ring) combined, giving the name a beautiful "white ring" meaning often taken to refer to a halo. Angelic, in other words. Dolyn, on the other hand, is meaningless, as far as I know. And the -lyn would not be pronounced the same as -len is intended to be. Gwendolen is NOT GWEN-do-lin ... it's GWEN-do-len (akin to the subtle differences between Madeline, Madelyn and Madeleine ... not all letters can be said identically). ;) Just really cheapens it in my mind.
Hope that helps.

I like the nickname Gwen but Gwendolyn is too long and too old fashion. Try Gwenith or Gwenna, both still sound nice with Lilia, which is a great name!

I think they are great, but Gwendolyn is thought of as being a little old fashioned. It was on my short list for my daughter, and I changed it to Gwynyth at the last moment. We call her Winnie now. :)Gwendolyn would be fine though if you were going to use a shortened version of it. There are lots of names that derive from it: Gwen, Winnie, Wendy, Lynn,etc...

I like Lilia. It's cute, but I don't like Gwendolyn. In my opinion it's too dated & it doesn't flow well with Lilia. Would u consider Lilia as a 1st name & call her Lily or by her middle name??
If so what about:
Lilia Jade
Lilia Grace
Lilia Rose
Lilia Kelise

I really like the sound of the name although I'd probably go with 'Gwenith Lilia' its sound just as good! Good luck deciding!

I think both are lovely names and it's a great choice. Gwendolyn is on my name list and my aunt's sister is named Lilia (lovely, kind woman). Great choice and it honors your MIL.

That's just fabulous!
Gwendolyn is a great name. Underused but familiar, fresh and yet old-world. And honoring your MIL is a nice touch.
