What kind of 1/4 mi times do they run stock? I only want a six speed manual, no autos. Will it beat a 2003 or 2004 Mustang Cobra? What about a CTS-V?

I have worked at drag strip for 8 years and have seen every car in the world race. Just last week we had a new GTO club down. The stock ones mostly ran mid 13's. Will it beat a stock Mustang Cobra, depends on the driver, but it shouldn't. I've seen stock Cobras sneek into the high 12's.

The 2005 to 2006 GTO will do mid to low 13's stock and it will be about the same as the CTS-V but it will beat the 03 -04 Mustang Cobra but not by much.

My 2006 Spice red GTO eats snakes for lunch and Vipers at the Road racing track. GMM ripshifter Hodgkiss sway bars Bridgstone RE-010R tires SLP exhaust and K&N air intake. Dynoed Tunning over 421 and 435 lb ft torque at the rear wheels. For under $32,000 new the GTO was quite a bargan. I expect a Shelby 2008 Stang or a Rousch to give me heck at the drag strip. Mine made a pass at 12.3 seconds. 114 trap speed on a .53 RT and 1.98 60 foot street tires. Top speed some where north of 165 miles an hour! GTO are Great cars and confortable to drive every day. Mine has 14,000 miles in 20 months and has never had any problems to take it back to the dealer for.
