I know the majority of Y!A members don't agree with me because they're young (most of them not even old enough to vote & are influenced by their peers) but Hillary is really the best candidate. This is why the polls are in her favor. She's not a saint, and perhaps not as likable as her husband was, but she is sensible, (realistic) intelligent, experienced and is able to lead the country during this time crisis. That's what really matters.
Edit: She is also a very strong woman.

To answer this question a person would have to build a matrix listing the candidates, the issues, and how they have addressed the issues in the past (not during the campaigning). They all seem to become different people when they are running for office. They like to talk about the bills they introduced (they never say how many were approved) and they like to talk about their experience but they never point out how they have used that experience to Americas benefit. The matrix should also point out where campaign funds are coming from. It has been determined that at least one of the candidates was caught taking illegal funds from a known felon and although she says she is giving it back it she would never have done so if we didn't find out about it (sounds like reruns from her earlier years in AR). There are several good candidates on both sides. Hopefully before a person votes they will take time to study the candidates past record and vote based on their past, not their campaigning promises.

I wish we had somebody great for independant because if there ever was a time that alot americans on both sides of the fence could get together, it would be now. I don't think the republicans are representing there voters in an honest way and I don't believe the democrats( candidates)are representing their potential voters very well.

Ron Paul, He is anti-war, wants to lower taxes for the middle class and poor, voted no against the Patriot Act, voted no against the amendment banning gay marriages. He believes the United States should have a non-interventionist foreign policy where we trade and negotiate with other countries instead of fighting useless wars where so many innocent people die. He wants to drastically reduce the debt the United States is in and restore our country to the democracy it once was. Finally we have a voice for the people. One that isn't backed by corporations and lobbyists. but by the people.. Ron Paul is a man of his word. Just check his track record. He knows where he stands on the issues, unlike other candidates whose stances seem to change from week to week. I truly believe he can boost the morale of this country and restore a democracy for the people not just for the elite...

I think Colin Powell on the Republican side and Russ Feingold on the Democratic side.
Colin Powell likely would be able to amicably resolve the Iraq issue. Unfortunately, his point of view meant nothing when Cheney was more interested in obtaining more power to the executive branch.
I picked Feingold because he voted against the Iraq war from the start and sponsors many bills against PAC money and corruption which benefits very few at the expense of many.

I don't think that they have found the best candidate yet. I just hope that some one comes along who would make a good President.
