Absolutely. The Yankees have to do anything they can to keep Rivera and Posada in pinstripes.

I want them to be in a Giants jersey, but respectively, this team builds around Cano, Jeter, and Posada on the offense, and Rivera on relief pitching. 1/2 of what I just listed would be gone, and this team would have question marks on roster.. esp. catcher. So with all due respect, we'll just see what god has planned for us ahead

The only reason I would want Mo back is so Joba can become a starting pitcher. If Mo doesn't come back, then I say convert Joba to a closer. I think they should resign Posada to a 2-3 year deal.

With A-Rod gone I believe the Yankees will do everything they can to sign both of these players. I really don't believe money will be an issue but there could be a problem with the length of the contract the players want and what the Yankees will be willing to offer.

Love them both, but honestly, there are so many closers better than Rivera right now, and his best days are behind him. I love the fact that he's a lifelong Yankee, but the best business decision would be to just resign Posada.

Not a yankee fan by any stretch but...
honestly they have to sign Posada! his experience behind the plate is impossible to replace! Not to mention he had a great year offensively! With Gay-rod opting out they can't afford to lose his bat either!
Rivera isn't as important, he was not a dominate closer by an stretch of the imagination! The Yankees would be wise to let him skip town and talk Joba into becoming the closer! I think the days of NYY over paying for old players in their final years has finally come to an end!

Posade leaving the team could hurt them more than A-rod leaving. A catcher with a good arm and bat is hard to find. the yankees were stupid for letting the contract expire without negoiating with him.

You pretty much took the words right out of my mouth.
I still have headaches from everything that has been going on with Torre and A-Rod.
I'll be crushed if Jorge and Mo leave!

i want posada to stay. he had a great season last year and theres no reason to get rid of him. hes still a threat at the plate. rivera however.........i think it's time for him to hang it up. he lost us a bunch of games last year. i just dont think he has it anymore.
