I was spending the night at a friend's house. The house is over 150 years old, and was rumored to be haunted. That being the case, I never wanted to be by myself.
One night, we were playing video games (Mario Kart, to be exact), and after not-too-long I realized I was the only one awake. Being as late as it was (almost 5am), and against my instincts, I decided it was time to call it a night and turn off the TV -- the only source of light in the room.
I laid down on the couch, and not a minute later I heard this strange buzzing sound, followed by "BONG! BONG! BONG! BONG! BONG!" It turned out to be just the grandfather clock, but it still scared the crap out of me.
After I calmed down and started to get comfortable, I started to feel a tingly feeling in the back of my neck & on my head -- my hair was standing up. Seconds later, I hear a strange moaning sound coming from the foot of the couch. The sound oscillated kinda like a siren, but it was off-key, almost like an opera singer imitating a police siren. I looked at where it was coming from, and there was nobody there. Had there been, I would've seen their sillouette against the window. It lasted for about 30 seconds, and I just pretended to be dead the entire time. I still don't know what that was.

i become using an SUV down the interstate with my mom and nephew in the vehicle. We have been promptly beside a semi truck--my vehicle in the different lane universal between the front of his truck and the decrease back of his truck. The dude only starts off to merge over in the lane like we weren't even there. I swerved, honked the horn, and positioned my foot on the gas so as that with any luck i ought to get remote from him. I extremely made it previous him. If I hadn't been paying interest to the line or if I had finding decrease back at my nephew or over at my mom for a cut up 2nd we'd have all been lifeless. My adrenaline become pumping so complicated and that i become so indignant appropriate afterwards that i ought to have strangled that driving force to dying without blinking an eye fixed. yet then i found out how close we had come to dying. exceptionally my nephew he become purely 3 y/o. The scariest section become the assumption-approximately some thing happening to my nephew.

My father tried to kill me ... Or I as arrested at 15 because my mothers schizo bf made this huge story up and went to the cops. There was like 10 big cops surrounding me. That was really scarey

My living room caught fire while I was in it (with my sister, brother, and mom) and our home was completely destroyed. The first few nights I was in shock and couldn't comprehend reality, I thought it was all a nightmare. It was pretty scary when we couldn't find my little brother (he had run out the back door) and the windows had exploded.

I had a Molotov cocktail thrown at me in Belfast as a child. I was coming home from school, and this fellow drove by and threw a Molotov cocktail at me and some friends of mine. It wasn't lit, but it still scared the fire out of me. The depths of people's hate never ceases to amaze me.

I dreamed of a man punching on a door until his knuckles started bleeding and still wouldn't stop punching in that damn door.... It was the worst nightmare I've ever had....

A couple years ago I walked into the library and [stupidly] left my purse in the car, and when I came back out I saw a guy picking the lock on my car. I yelled at him, and he opened the door, grabbed my purse, go in his car and started to drive off. I freaked out and jumped on the back on his pickup, but I fell off and he zoomed down the street, almost hitting oncoming traffic and a girl in the crosswalk. Very scary. (Ladies - don't leave your purses in the car!!!)

there was a REAL fire in my school and my friend caused it, because she was the light person for the drama play. the ambulance were called because people got burnt. it was pretty big. we were evacuated to the elemantary school next door.

I had a dream that I was that skeleton head dude from Ghost Rider and possibly killed a bunch of people. Yeah....that was pretty weird.

My son was choking, he's 2. I actually had to use the Heimlich maneuver. It felt unreal.
