You won't have any problems all roads are good.Iv'e drivem Van,B.C. Cal.5-6 times lots of service along the way.Driven Van.Alaska 3 times no problem. Our last trip to Alaska we took the ferry from bellingham to Skagway so I only had to drive one way coming home.I'd say the roads and Alaska Highway as very good and the people very nice it's a nice trip.

I drove the Alaska Highway from Northern Alberta up to Fairbanks AK earlier this year. Road was good, roadside service was good although gas stations could be far from each other in places. Beautiful scenery, friendly people, and definitely a trip I'd make again. Here's a link to the blog of my trip if you're interested.

It relies upon on the place you start up and how long you propose, bear in mind the shortest way is 3076 miles from anchorage to SF and gasoline in Canada is amazingly costly, the line subject isn't solid, tough variety would be 7 days and $1500 to $2000 one-way Why no longer fly virgin u . s . for $199 one-way and 5hr flight.
