I have a current soon and a need an A. Does anyone have any ideas. It has to be somewhere not in the United States.

How about the Gulf Stream as it is a bit outside of the USA.

Seriously though, how about Russia wanting to claim parts of the Arctic Ocean as the glaciers recede, making it possible to reach otherwise unreachable oil reserves. Google it. Your teacher will be impressed since it's a rather obscure, yet extremely important issue that might someday lead to war if countries don't handle the situation well.

There's a similar event about the Caspian Sea where Iran wants to each bordering country to have equal rights to parts of the sea regardless of how many miles of seashore it has on there. Other countries want it to be split proportionally.

But the Russian claim to the Arctic is more important. See links below:

Perhaps you would like to ask a current event question. How about - where were you at 11 a.m. this morning? That would be very current considering the day. Personally I just ignore the ranting and as for looking at a question about "you know who" I do not bother. I hope you still enjoy the contributions whatever the sub heading. (All the foregoing is thought about and typed in a pleasant and upbeat way)
