Mutualism- Ant-fungus mutualism is a symbiosis seen in certain ant and fungal species, where ants actively cultivate fungus much like humans farm crops as a food source. The attine ants actively, nurture and defend the fungi cultivar. In return, the fungus provides nutrients for the ants

Parasitism- Strangler figs grow on the branches of trees and eventually sprout aerial roots which then establish themselves in theground. Over time, many roots grow and establish themselves around the host tree and the roots kill the tree.

Commensalism- An example is vermiliads (plants living on trees in rainforests) and frogs; the frogs get shelter and water from the vermiliad but the vermiliad is unaffected.

One example will be lichen it looks like a plant, but it actually is a complicated mutualistic association between a species of fungus and a species of either a green algae or a blue-green algae. The fungus species serves as surface attachment and absorbs nutrients from the environment. It addition the fungus forms a protective envelope for the algae preventing the algae from drying out. The algae in its turn uses the nutrients absorbed by the fungus and the carbon dioxide produced to photosynthesize. The sugars and oxygen produced by the algae are, in turn, used for food by the fungus. The other example of mutualistic relationship could Mycorrhizal Fungi (mutualistic relationship between a type of fungi and tree's root). The fungus aids the tree in absorbing water from the soil, increases the stability of the root system, and protects the roots from drying out and the effects of heavy metals. In return the tree provides sugars and starches to the fungus that the fungus uses in its metabolism.
