Yes, there are gay people in Iran, just as there anywhere else.

But they tend to stay hidden, because being known to be gay in Iran is usually fatal.

President Ahmadinejad's claims are impossible to sustain. Of course there are Homosexual people in Iran -- But Gay Iranians are completely invisible and powerless, they have no right to exist according to their country's laws.

Ahmadinejad knows they have Homosexuals in Iran, the Iranian culture, like many other cultures whether they practice Judaism, Christianity or other religions, are in denial when it comes to this issue and refuse to face the reality.

No, it isn't true at all. I've corresponded with several gay men from Iran. Mahmoud Ahadinijad is just out of touch with reality.

Of course, there are gays and lesbians in every country and every walk of life. I guess they don't admit to it openly because they are prosecuted in Iran, like probably in many other countries too. Which is horrible, people everywhere should become more tolerant of others.

Of course not. Don't you believe anything the President of Iran tells you? The Democrats do. Why shouldn't you?

because the Islamic revolution in Iran (1979) over 4000 adult adult males were executed for being gay. convinced, there are gays in Iran, they do exactly not tell each and every human being they're gay. in the journey that they do tell someone, they get killed.

how would ahmedinijad know what goes on in the bedrooms of every citizen in iran? obviously, he is either incredibly naive or he is a liar.

i would say, yes, there are gay people in iran. their president, for whatever reason, chooses to deny that fact.

Haven't you heard? There are no gays in Iran (yeah, right), but there are lots of transexuals.
