During a soccer match, if the offense team makes a off-side, where are you suppose to start the ball for the defense team? Where the ball is called off-side? The goal line? or the half-way line?

If the refree decides an offside was commited an indirect free kick is taken in line with the assistant refree, which should be where the offside occured. An indirect free kick means that a second player has to touch the ball before you can score a goal with it.
