You don't. Live everyday as if it were your last. Leave nothing unsaid - tell your family how much you love and cherish them everyday.

its horrible to watch anyone die....being old is not fun.
I work in a retirement home and the average age is 80-106
we see death daily......some know they are dying...some don't want to and are scared to be alone.....some don't know they are only because their family members have not let them know and prefer their life to go on as USUAL...its sad but we know death is always around and we all will die....we hope for the best and little suffering and hope their is someone special to love and care for them till they depart to heaven......
