Ahhhhhhh, I'll let you tomorrow, OK? :-)
No, really. For me, it's more of a symptom of other behaviors, than being the problem. This involves overcommitting myself to career, people and activities. Yes, I do suffer sometimes from being easily distracted and thrown off course from my intended task objective, but that again is because my mind and body are telling me that I need less work, and one or more of the 3R's; rest, relaxation and recreation. So I find myself "goofing" alot, for lack of a better word, and all the more, the more I place myself under the pressure of accomplishing tasks. And, "time" becomes more of a foe, than a friend, when I let this get even slightly out of hand. So, I begin to play power games with time; unconsciously, of course! It's a matter of trying to gain control back in your life, by controlling others with lateness and absenteeism, rather than dealing with it head on! It is times like this that only deadlines, to which there is an adverse consequence if I don't meet it, motivate me to finish anything on time. So, I place myself under the pressure of choosing between options concerning the possibilities of actually being reliable and prompt, and choose the one that is most important, and procrastinate on the other; and forget those things without a deadline attached to them!
So, for me, it is learning to say "no", and learning to stay with one project committed and proficient through to finishing it, without taking on other things out of impulse and/or boredom with what I'm still working on. This means that I will have to take breaks to "goof" intermittently throughout the time working on a project, else gofing will get out of hand with me, and then I become a "goof" to those I'm accountable to.
I am sure that time will become my "friend" more and more often, if I follow through with what I described here; and procrastination will be less a familiar and fond one too.

I'm sick so I don't. I'm letting everybody wait on me hand and foot right now.
Usually I make myself to do lists, and make them small enough that I'm able to check off everything by the end of the day.
