i am trying to transfer music over from a emac to a pc. i converted the hd in the disk utility (Disk Utility - Erase), and i set it up as an MS-DOS File system to allow the transfers. but for some reason, when i hook up the drive to the PC, the drivers still work, but in the MY COMPUTER it does not show up and i cannot open the drive.

the external hard drive is a maxtor OneTouch III USB drive.

what am i doing wrong?

Start over, but use Windows instead, then it will work.
