What is that people are complaining about our country, and yet they still call our country the greatest in the world? I'm puzzled by some responses.
Anyway, my answer is USA, of course, I always show my support for my country, and second best is parts of Europe.

Find out which country most people would like to live in and you'll have your answer. Immigrants tend to gravitate to the country that has the most to offer them and provides the greatest freedom - IF they qualify for a visa.

I think it's wrong-headed to assume that there is one country in the world that's better than every other country.
There are a bunch of pretty good countries -- depending on your criteria, which aren't at all obvious.

In what category? You have to be specific. America has the greatest military power, Luxembourg has the greatest earnings per capita, Palau has the greatest diving spots, Switzerland has the greatest democratic government, and so on. Be a bit more specific

Venezuela? The only country to make oil wealth work for its citizens?
Cuba? Have resisted years of oppression and outright terrorism on the part of its neighbor (look up Bay of Pigs or how about assassination attempts on Castro by the CIA) and survived and managed to have a good health service for all of its citizens even the poor ones.
Brazil? The country where a working man can be elected president.
