Is it legal for your boss to make you sign your time card otherwise you won't get your paycheck?

thank you for the response that everyone. It wasn't for me, it was my husband question... I didn't know thought. I've actually never had to do this, but it doesn't seem to be an bad idea especially for all the reason everyone said. so thank you

Yes, that way if you happen to have claimed for more hours worked than you actually did, you are committing fraud.
Anyway what is the big deal if you have nothing to hide - sign it and suck it up.

Yes, I was once was an employer, I was sued because an employee said that he had worked more hours than I had paid him. it taught me a lesson always have the employee sign his/her time card. that way they cannot dispute the hours they have worked at a later date..

Yes if it is the rule book. But it is always best to sign your time card acknowledging your hours. This way it saves you and the accountant trouble.

You should sign it anyway. It's the only proof your boss has that you have correctly kept track of your hours and that your hours shown are correct - with no errors.

whats the big deal??,.....just sign and get your money, after all you have to sign the check to cash it,.....what is the difference??,.....
