mom and pop places, hole in the walls, street food is good too even though it's not quite a restaurant. but nothing that is a chain restaurant like other losers like.

I live in Alaska in a small town so not many options but one that I frequent often is a sushi place, it's a locally owned sushi place. The best place I have ever eaten at was at Bobby Flay's restaurant in New York called Bolo, it was the most amazing looking and delightfully tasting food EVER!!!

My own Kitchen!! I RARELY dine out... only once a month, and that is El Ranchito in San Carlos. I also will order a pizza every other month from Pizza Hut.
Pretty boring eh ?
Once upon a time, I loved going to "Kansas City BBQ" in San Diego... but then Top Gun filmed there and it became a tourist spot
