can evil people cause otherwise good people to become evil?

what I mean is ...if people are good and under assault from bad people, will the good people eventually become just as bad or good as the bad people?

Yes. They can become evil if they allow their spirit to become broken. Also, wealth and power can cause a good person to become narcissistic. And narcissistic people usually only think of themselves and have little empathy or concern for other people which is quite evil.

It actually works both ways. How vulnerable you are and how susceptible to brain-washing determines how easily you can be persuaded to change morally...to the bad or to the good. Look at how the televangelists manage to control people in their own living rooms! Look at how gang members convince their younger friends to join their illegal activities. Only the strong can resist!

It all depends on the individual. Groups of people is a decision that one person makes to become a part of that group.
