We usually do it when they set up the christmas trees at Home Depot. Which is ususally about the 1 week in december.
And then me and my mom put it together and wrap presents.
Last year hammer was stealing presents and ripping them up in the kitchen. I dont know why but he LOVES to I caught him doing it, it was HALARIOUS. He tried to hide it in his mouth and under the table as I was picking most of it up...lol.....Very funny. My mom didnt think so...

I want to enjoy my Christmas tree for the whole month instead for 1-2 weeks. There are some ornaments at Costco for 199.99$ I am set on for buying those although they are really expensive they are GORGEOUS! There are white ones and red ones and the red ones have ornaments that look like open pomegranates just absolutely divine. We have a tall ceiling so we have a pretty big and tall tree.

We don't put up a Christmas tree.. A whole Doberman Gang and 2 intact males.. A tree in the house just doesn't seem like a real good idea to me :)

If you buy a tree now, or in two weeks doesn't make much difference. All the trees are cut around the same, usually in mid to late Oct. It is even possible buying it earlier and getting watered sooner may prolong its "life." Or you could go to a cut your own farm, which can be a great family outing. If you chose this route, measure the area where you plan to place it, and bring along a tape measure, Trees never look as big in the "wild."

The weekend after Thanksgiving. I put all my Christmas stuff up at that time. We have an artificial tree, so we can leave it up as long as we want without having to worry about it dying.

well, I have only had my dog for a little over 2 years - this will be his third christmas with me. I go away for Christmas and my housemate didn't want to deal with a tree since I wasn't going to be tehre. She went to her aunt's house for Christmas and took my dog with her and my dog walked in the house and promptly walked over and peed on the tree! So last year - I decided to get a fake tree. And low and behold, he never peed on it!
So this year, as soon as I am ready to take the two pieces out of the box and clip them together we will have a voila(!) tree!

I start putting up christmas decorations after thanksgiving...but usually wait until the first weekend of december to put the tree up so my kids can help. They have special ornaments of thiers they like to hang themselves and we make it a day affair.
