I own my home with my boyfriend and his mother....I am in th process of moving out....because the market is so bad I know we would be unable to sell at this time....I am just wondering if I can loose any rights because i am leaving the home with our children. I am going to continue to pay my part untill we can sell my children will still have thier room to come to when the visit there grandmother and father. Just wondering if anyone can help with my question in regards to my legal rights to the home....

As long as your name is on the deed, you would need to sign any paperwork to sell the home. The rest that you mentioned would be considered rent or maintenance fees. As long as you are still paying your part of the mortgage payments, nothing changes. The problem I would have with this arrangement would be if another person moves in (paying rent). You would need to address this type situation before you leave. Personally, I would ask if they would like to buy you out.

talk to a lawyer, In some instances when one spouse or partner has left they were accused of abandonment and lost all rights to anything pertaining to any assets
