I guess its most similar to a safety, because the defense who made the interception and took it back gets the 2 points. You also need to check the rules on this with the appropiate league, because high school, college, and NFL all have different rules.

The opposing team can run it back to the endzone, for 2 factors... If the run-back is stopped before the endzone, than the team that had scored the landing has to kick off... that's only in college ball... The NFL would not enable this, and that i'm uncertain of the guidelines in extreme college soccer...

If the defense intercepts or recovers a fumble during a two point conversion attempt and returns it to the opposing end zone, the defensive team is awarded the two points.

Neither. You can not advance a block PAT or an intercepted 2 point conversion. The ball is dead, no points awarded.

intercepted 2 pt. conversion, ball is dead. However if an extra point is blocked and the ball is returned for a TD the returning team gets 1 point. But the answer to your question is neither, if there is a turnover on a 2 pt conv. the ball becomes dead

I'm pretty sure on a PAT that once it's plain the team who just scored the TD has failed that's it. In other words, you can't score a TD or a safety on another team's PAT.

it is neither a TD or a safety, but the defense who intercepted the ball is awarded two points, as if they had scored the two-point conversion. so its the same amount of points as a safety.

no play is over as soon as defense gains possession of ball. By rule, that is regardless of 1 or 2 pt try.. defense can not score on a PAT attempt. Sorry, I just was reading the rules.
This is for NFL, not sure on other levels
