Sadly, Michigan will not be #1 this year. However, they show great promise for next year. Only time will tell. As with all loyal fans, take the good with the bad and hold your head up. Just keep saying GO BLUE!
In the meantime, for this year we are on our way to a possible Rose Bowl birth.

Absolutely! They've been there in the past and they will be there again! After all year after year they recruit some of the top players in the nation and always put out Heisman candidates! Who's the number one Pro QB playing right now, a UofM grad! Michigan is the #1 college football program of all time if you look at wins and win percentage! They have around 12 or 13 National Championships already. So no doubt that they'll be there again! Ohio State has been excellent lately but you don't have to go that far back when the tables were reversed. You must be young if you seriously wonder if the Wolverines will ever be #1 in the country! Plus we should be happy for Ohio State being #1! It's good for the Big Ten. Plus it makes for an excellent final game for Michigan! GO BLUE!!!

Oh and those OSU fans who laugh.. well just wait till it's your turn to play Mich! We'll see how you feel after that. If anything it's not going to be as easy as you think! Especially if we have a healthy Hart and Henne! Hart is still the #2 rusher in the Big Ten, even after totally missing two games and missing half of two more! So minus three games and he's still #2 running back in the Big Ten! Then you have Henne who's breaking record after record, and he's missed maybe 4 games! So yea.. keep laughing and take Michigan for granted!
Also those who say App State this or that. Get real.. 1. Michigan took the game for granted and only used Hart for half of it, 2. App State was preparing for that game since last season! 3. App State is the two time defending Div IIA Champions! 4. Michigan has been known to start their seasons slow.. (Blame coaching for that!) 5. Michigan would easily win the game if they played again! Their's a reason why they have a term "they're in midseason form!" Sometimes it takes a team a game or two to get everything in gear and all the players up to speed. Michigan lost a lot of D from last years team!

Not this year. The Buckeyes are now a Dynasty and until Carr figures out how to beat The Ohio State Buckeyes they will never play for a NC. The Buckeyes are so talented that they just replace players every year. This was suppose to be a down year for them after last years awesome team. Now they seem to have to potential Heisman Trophy players in Beockman and Beanie Wells. Next year will be so awesome for the Buckeyes. Plus they have to play USC next year to get to the NC game.

Who is Lloyd Carr? Oh, wasn't he the coach when U of M won their last national championship? U of M have gone through a few coaches since the, currently it's Jim Harbaugh. Rich Rodriguez buried Michigan. Harbaugh may lead them back to the top, but right now, OSU and even MSU are in Michigan's way.

Are you nutz, They have gone to the Rose Bowl more times than any other team. They have been a powerhouse for 80 years. They cannot be the best every year. Relax...

I assume by "ever", you mean for the rest of all history of college football. In that case, most definitely, yes. But, then again, there's probably another 100 teams who will be ranked #1, as well.

No chance. Voters will hold the loss to Appalachian State against them for the rest of the season.

Not if you keep Lloyd Carr in as your head coach. Coach Tressel has his number in a major way!
