And I'm meant to do a powerpoint presentation on it when I go back to school, with a partner. Can anybody help me?

there are no more RATIONAL choices. Everything we like in life is either ILLEGAL, IMMORAL, or FATTENING.

The rational choice model assumes that people will act in whichever way will maximize utility (get them the most). Assuming that this is true, the rational choice model would be able to predict the actions of individuals by investigating the choices.

One example would be: I offer you $1.00 or $100.00. The rational choice model would predict that you will take the $100.00 because that would maximize your gains.

While rational choice theory works OK in terms of economic theory, it has trouble when applied to other social sciences like political science and psychology, primarily because it deals only with external observations and cannot predict behavior that is the result of emotion or personal sacrifice created internally.
