2007 Nissan Pathfinder. Left ignition on and drained battery. Charged battery overnight but CEL is on and car is in limp home mode, starts in 2nd, no acceleration, no EST. tried diconnecting battery but no effect. How can I reset the CEL ?

Local chain auto parts stores can reset your cel light (autozone, etc.) but if light comes back on or truck continues to run bad you need to take to dealer to properly diagnose problem

Do the battery thing again.

Disconnect battery.
Ignition key on 2 minutes.(with battery disconnected)
Ignition key off.
Reconnect battery.
