Husband says it is law that working woman should spend all her money for house. althought my income is very less compared to his. When I was full time working, I spent almost 90% of house expenses. He never questioned. Now he is abusing me with hurting words, degrading me. He shouts, If I go to work I should spend money, otherwise I should resign and be at home full time. He never reveals how much he is saving for himself however.

Don't put up with that, like everyone else is saying, run. It should be 50/50 on house hold goods/expenses. If he's making that much more, than he should be dishing out a lot more. That extra money he's saving has to be going somewhere, where's it going. Is he saving it, is he drinking alot, is he doing drugs? If he wont tell you where it's going, it's probably going to one of the above, hence the attitude he's been giving you. Dont take that, you dont deserve it.

I think your husband is a jerk, for telling you that you have to pay the bills alone. Being Married, everything that you bring into the home, (either of you) should be a shared income, and that you both should have access to, and should pay household bills from.
Tell him to straighten up, and learn some of the "laws" of OUR country before telling you a lie.

you should just get out and find someone who doesn't degrade you. If he is making more than you he should be handing the bills and use your money for saving or emergencies. He jsut wants to control you and you shouldn't let him. File for a divorce.

His behavior is abusive. He's manipulating and trying to control you. He has no right to have secret finances and force you to spend yours. You deserve better than this. Do not stay with him.
