This process is not running under the owners name instead its running under a system process yet this process is hogging CPU usage, So i think its some kid of virus or something. But the thing is i have tryed running ad-aware and after a minute or so or running the computer goes blue screen with fatal error. Then i tryed running in Safemode but it gets to loading safemode and for some reason this Iexplore.exe process is still running and hogging the CPU usage making it where i cant get into safe mode. So anyone have a ideal? what this is and what i can do to remove it? I mean its making the pc run really slow and i have notice few popups when loading IE but i have disable the internet until i can figure what kind of solution to this problem.

iexplore.exe is NORMALLY Internet Explorer, however, this wouldn't be the first instance of a wolf disguising itself in sheep's clothing.

Try searching the Internet for iexplore.exe to see if anyone else has hit this. Also try using an L for the first character -- some malware writers think its cute to take advantage of the similarity between upper I and lower L in the default Windows font.

Good luck.

Iexplore.exe is the executable file for Internet Explorer. It is usually the first program on the process list, taking around 53,000 kB when IE is running. Look elsewhere for your source of spyware.

iexplore.exe is the internet explorer. if you haven't start the program it shouldn't be there in the process list. you should scan for any virus or anything. and if it consumes a lot of memory usage even though you don't do anything with it, it is probably a virus

Right click on your toolbar at the bottom of your desktop. Click on "Task Manager" then the "Processes" tab. If you don't know what they are, Google the process names (image names) and different sites will tell you what they are and if you should close them, as well as how to disable them from starting automatically on start-up. Try downloading Ad-Aware too. That's the best software at getting rid of adware. Sometimes alt+ctrl+del will automatically re-start your computer. Mine somehow got that setting a while ago, but the hard drive has been completely wiped several times since then.
