The FBI monitors anti-war groups and have monitored feminist, environmental, peace, and anti-racism groups in the past, and still do monitor some of them. You're surprised? Ever hear of the Patriot Act? It's not just public forums, but many government agencies can wiretap whoever they like without many reasons given, all for the sake of "national security". Big brother has been here a long time, and has been taping you!

No, apparantly not. The government can monitor our statements and phone conversations without cause. Our current administration is paranoid. The CIA and NSA need to do their jobs not waste their time on monitoring Yahoo answers.

Every person in the entire world who owns a computer has the ability to "monitor" our statements - why would the CIA and NSA be excluded?

Who cares and I am Prior Service Military too! They are supposed to be upholding the Constitution and Bill of Rights. Always Vigilant<>The Military defends against All enemies Both Foreign and Domestic. They are not, but if they were who cares...and yes, we do have freedoms here, you'll see in no other country in the world.
Having just returned home, from a part of the world where dissent may cost you your life, I appreciate the freedoms we enjoy even more!
