When your dating the question is, "When are you going to get married" at least 40 times a week. You finnally get married and its, "When are you going to have kids" but there a problem you've had repeat miscarriages, you figured out why and MAYBE next time it wont happen again, but until then no one else knows and just thinks you should be a breeder because you are married, 24, and seemingly healthy, so what do you say? I smile and say, oh kids have to be planned now a days, or some change the topic. Anyone else have a better anwser? As to "When are you going to have babies?"

well people think married then kids come along, your answer of planning them out works, and i would stick with that, if you wanted to be rude you can tell them you cant have kids that might shut them up. or you can just try and play it off like saying your not worried about that. or turn it around on them or bring up something they dont like to answer.

Just tell them that it is a work in progress, smile and ignore the remark. I am amazed at how many people asked me the same question after I got married. I kept thinking, WOW! I just got married, I am still getting used to the idea, and now someone wants me to have another person to think about?!! Don't worry, relax, and have your babies on your time table and no one else's. :)

i hate that line of questioning! The question i'm being asked nowadays is, "are you gonna try for the boy??" My husband and I just had our 3rd child....which gives us 3 girls. I was in the hospital and people were already asking! I'll just answer, "no, we're good with the 3 we have." and i'll smile and change the subject. I'm not entirely comfortable w/telling people the drs have advised me not to get pregnant again due to medical reasons.

I suggest just saying, "oh, one day...." and then changing the subject. You owe no one an explanation. and if you and your hubby wanted to wait 10 years before having kids, that's your decision.

I don't know if you would like this or not but if it were me I would tell them "I have just had another miscarriage, thanks for making me think of it again." I know that it sounds harsh and will probably hurt to say it but some people just won't stop asking no matter what you say. If they are rude enough to ever ask again I don't think that I would associate with them. I am sorry. I never had a miscarriage myself but I watched my sister suffer through several. She finally did get her baby. Good luck to you.

"soon" was what I said exactly for 16 years!! got married at 19, and had the baby at 35... after awhile people give up, think something is wrong and they shut up... if you want to irritate them back - which I didn't but always had my answer ready - you can say "We are seeing drs and I'd like to keep it private"
good luck

"Why would you ask such a personal question"? Or "That is none of your business". Or "When we decide the time is right for us". I could list lots more but these should get you thinking!
