I lost a lot of respect for the guy after hearing what happened.
And no, its not simply because I'm black and he said the 'N' word. there's more to it than that. I'm let down by him because I thought he was smart enough to know that people are all equal and there is no need to belittle his son because he has a girlfriend of another race (it would have been just as bad if she was chinese, samoan, mexican, anything). He's nice and caring to those iceheads and crackheads he arrests on his show and is willing to give them a second chance at life, but won't even give his son's innocent girlfriend a chance. Its wrong. It was wrong to tape his private phone conversations as well, but if he wasn't saying cruel things like that, then none of this would have happened. So I feel betrayed by him. I had respect for the guy and how far he's come in his life, and then he had to go ruin it because he's too dumb to realize that black people are human like everyone else. He said he didn't want some 'N' to go tell the National Enquirer that they say that word, and that's exactly what happened, except she wasn't the one who told. So I think he got everything he deserved.

Dog was convicted in the murder of a black man back in 1977. He is the one person who should not be using hatred towards this group of people.

He has not changed his criminal ways. I don't plan to watch his show, or believe his bull. He has no business arresting fugitives when he has admitted he was drunk, and high on crack some of the time he was bounty hunting, back in the mid 1990's.

A heart of gold being a bounty hunter or private investigator will only delay--your getting into serious trouble. When representing "the law" mistakes are easily made when you inject your personal emotions. Your mode of "operendi" and "appearance" have no bearing on how you conduct yourself. Nice guys in his line of work never come out on top.

I'm in the UK but I gather he used the 'N' word several times in a phone conversation about his son's g/f.
A good ol Southern boy then. If he smokes much longer he'll be an ex-dawg thats for sure.
There's no excuse for using that word - not ever.

Not sure how to answer you. His TV show tends to be entertaining, they all think their bad @zzez, his daughter looks completely lost and Duane is a reformed druggie and convict. He has made a life for himself.
I think some of his past fast life has caught up to him-he can barely walk let alone run if you ever noticed.
I know if I knew he was looking for me for jumping bail, it would be a matter of time before he caught me.
His racist remark is unfair, it was within his family and his son was a stooge for recording him. HE KNEW he'd react like he did.

I think he's a former hoodlum who got a chance to straighten out his life... same for his wife, she's along for the ride... And now it seems like he has blown EVERYTHING with that comment!! I don't see redemption for a long time... Too bad. Gotta be smart out there, Dog.

I love the show & I think that the tape that was made public should have stayed a family matter. Someone put this tape out to the public to make a fast & easy buck. At the cost of who knows what. Very spiteful if you ask me!!!

I think the Dog is cool. Never a dull moment tho, he tends to feed on controversy.
