My boyfriend and I were having this discussion earlier and he said women shouldn't find it offensive... But I said it is offensive because it sounds like you're speaking to a dog or a slave.

So give me your take... BTW... He doesn't tell me to stay in my place. It just came up in conversation.

Being a giver or taker is approximately one's character, no longer approximately one's gender. i'm a giver - and that i'm getting exhilaration from giving - have consistently enjoyed it. I supply to many charities each and each 300 and sixty 5 days. I layout and make my own Christmas enjoying cards and deliver supply them to many and easily i do no longer care if i'm getting a card in return - extra often than not i do no longer - that's sort of an previous college element to do. I help my acquaintances while they are in a undesirable way - i attempt to pay attention or maybe lend/supply them money if that's what they choose. i purchase darkish chocolate - which i do no longer even like - and conceal it and then while my guy is calling for something candy after a meal, i will pull it out and marvel him - it consistently makes him happy and that makes me happy.

My wife is a partner, not hired help, so unless you're playing a game of Twister, I'd be offended.

That is very offensive. I never said that to my wife, nor even thought it.

If a dude is telling me to stay in my place, we are likely sharing a cell, and he is getting shanked in his sleep.
