I have a friend who is planning with her fiance to get married on Halloween and they are looking for ideas. They want to use mainly red and black as their colors.

Oh OH PICK ME!!!
First off how about they groom dresses as a vampire or as Jack from 'The nightmare before Christmas.' and the Bride can be a vampire too or she can be Sally from the same movie. Be sure to decorate with a lot for red and if you can find them black roses. if possible have the wedding take place in an old chapel with stain glass windows. If possible it would be cool to hold the wedding at midnight but odds of guests wanting to go at that hour are slim. Oh and get a pipe organ.. those things are creepy.

Like others have said, the bride and groom could dress up as vampires, Frankenstein and his bride, Jack and Sally, or Corpse Bride and Victor (from Tim Burton's Corpse Bride). Decorate with red and black flowers, balloons, etc. Play scary music (this doesn't have to be wild, monster mash-type stuff- even some classical music is suitably scary-sounding).

Use the Characters from Nightmare on Christmas
Frankenstein and his bride
Male and Female Vampires

Or if not costumed - Black Tux with Red vests for the guys and have bridesmaids wear red or black dresses.

Use either red or Black roses as bouquets/centerpieces

Each table could have a centrepiece of a ornately carved pumpkin. Then they can be given away to guests at the end of the reception.
