Well, the first 4 out of 5 answers were the usual conservative negatives. You'd think they'd finally admit that this bunch in the driver's seat has been one continuous trip of crash and burn! We surely do need some sorely lacking intellectuals to replace Bush and his people. There is a lot to change, but I think almost any one of the Democratic challengers could handle the job. Wouldn't it be great to have leaders who have no personal interest in Halliburton, etc.?

Listen to Obama, and if he says something that doesn't ring true for you then you have three choices. 1. Believe what you want to believe is true. 2. Read up on him and some of the decisions he's helped on 3. Decide what true leadership is all about. Hint: Getting many honest people involved in the decision making process and not fooling themselves in the process. The people pretty much decided they wanted Obama. Get on board or don't, it is your choice. Only time and actions will tell the people if he's the right choice. BTW I voted for Hillary to win the Nomination. She didn't because the people wanted Obama. That left me a choice Obama / Biden or McCain / Palin or some of the other most honorable mentions on the ballot. I choose : Obama / Biden 2008 Because the current administration has most certainly failed to lead. Between the main two parties, only one is dedicated to ensuring democracy survives.

I am not at all optimistic. The support for the war will continue to damage the country and the world. Also, none of them spoke of the economic problems which have obviously been building for the past 6 years.

While I think any of them would be better than Bush Jr, none are brave or bright enough for what we need right now, the republicans are no better.

We will need to have a REAL election in 2008 for any of them to have a chance, unlike the shamlections of 2000 and 2004.

Nope.
Politicians always promise all of these popular reforms, but they never materialize.
The 2008 election is just another election that won't bring any real change.

I'd vote for any of them, and John McCain isn't half bad either. The truth is though, I wouldn't vote for a Republican.
