It always amuses me when people claim that the current prosperity is the result of Bush/ Blair/ Howard administrations by their respective adherents.

When globally the economy is booming for most Western nations, how hard is it to be rich when its raining money?
The test of proficiency is when one prospers in lean times.

Historically one of the major obstacles to liberal administrators globally is the paying off of war debts incurred by previous conservative governments. Ever known a war to show a profit?
