The Oscar will grow a lot faster than the Piranhas, and he may eventually try to eat them (when he's about 8 inches). It would really be best to just have a Piranha species tank, but if you are willing to risk it, there's no concrete reason you can't mix the two assuming you have a very large tank (about 125 gallons).

How big is your tank?If it's big enough you could,I guess. The oscar will grow much bigger and faster than the piranha,so if the tank isn't big enough for the 2 different species to have their own territory, the oscar will probably eat them.

I think a species only tank for these fish would be the best answer though.

I would have to say no. The oscar will grow too big, and it is best to keep each fish with their species. The oscar would probably kill them.
