Doesn't matter how slow or fast I peel the sticker it always leaves the white bit.
Anybody know a good technique?
Thanks

Rub in some WD40 or nail varnish remover to get rid of the sticky residue from the label

Hold the bottle with a pair of tongs over a boiling pan of water to steam off the label. Or, peel off as much of the sticker as you can and use Goo Gone cleaner on the residue.

Soak them in hot water for 15-20 minutes and they should easily peel off.

wet the label thoroughly and leave it to stand for about 5 - 10 minutes ensuring that it doesn't dry in the mean time. If the bottle is small enough to fit in the sink just soak it for the same amount of time in hot soapy water.

IF you want the label intact... soak in water (hot or cold) and then slowly peel it off.

Scrubbing the bottle afterwards with a 3M pad cleans up the bottle quite nicely.

If all else fails so that you are left with sticky stuff, with or without the underside of the label still covering it, use lighter fluid (the "petrol" variety, for Zippos and suchlike, not butane), which dissolves it. If it's been soaked in water, let it dry out first.

Hey, I have a great idea -- why not experiment on yourself and see what works and what doesn't? I recommend starting by whacking yourself in the face with a huge wooden club. It that turns out to leave marks, move on to something else, like driving nails into your own eyeballs.

Seems weird but if you just soak the paper part of the bottle until it gets soggy, it comes right off without that sticky stuff.

After the hot water treatment, wiping with white spirits will remove remaining residue.
