Is there any way to connect a computer to a TV using a router or a cable? (preferably a router)?

I am using windows xp. I want to be able to see what is on my computer screen on my tv.

NOPE, fraid not.

If the PC has SVID out, you can use this, and set video card to CLONE output to both the mnitor and this output.

Why r u looking for the high value. Just use an internal/External TV tuner Card. Internal TV tuner card allows to download any TV programs. External TV Tuner does not allows to Download TV programs.
