I have heard Bonsai trees are evil and can make bad things happen in your home and your family. Is this true?

That sounds like another case of Western religious beliefs finding "demons" in foreign cultures they don't understand. Bonsai trees are an art form.

No way! The human heart is evil, but through the saving knowledge of Jesus, each person's heart can be changed. Meanwhile, you may want to view the Bonsai Care page of my site:
http://www.american-bonsai.com . I've been enjoying bonsai for over 20 years.

Bonsai trees are far from evil. They are an art form. People grow the trees and prune them in such a way that they remain small but look as if their appearance is natural and not cultivated by man.

Ok...Bonsai trees are beautiful plants that have a very long and interesting history. They are not evil any more than an Oak tree or a grape vine is evil.

I had a roomate who owned a Bonsai tree. I always suspected that it was up to something...evil. He had a little figurine of an old man fishing sitting under it. I bet the figurine's eyes glowed red whenever the tree was plotting something fiendish. Seriously though, nothing bad ever happened. He put the tree a little to close to the radiator though, and it ended up dying.

Never heard of that one. You might look at some of the feng shui books and see if the positioning of the tree has something to do with the evil spirit.
