Go Bucs!

Although the Bucs sure could use someone of his calibre on the team, they are not financially able to afford him. His salary alone for one year would almost double the entire clubs payroll. A-Rod is not in the habit of giving discounts to small market teams so you can forget about him going to Pittsburgh. The Pirates will continue to add to their young nucleus of players and eventually get back to respectability and be very competitive. Have faith!

A guy that throws a ball and hits a ball with a bat......my ten year old can do just as good so.......shouldn't someone pay HER Millions? I think he is worthless and he should take the money he has and have a happy life for gettin over on the american people..

A case where it's a good thing the Pirates are so cheap. They would never even enter the discussion.

They won't pay that much money. A-rod will find out quickly that you can't bite the hand that feeds you.

There is not that much market for someone that expensive.

I heard $360 million for 10 years is the goal. That will land A-Rod early retirement.

No. A Rod is going to make more money than their whole roster.

He is going to go to a big market team like the Angels, Dodgers, Red Sox, Rangers...

They should, definitely.

He'll win the pennant for Pittsburgh next year as the NLCS MVP, so if that's what the city wants, then, for goodness sake, go for it.

We are fam-i-leeeeeeeeeeeeeee...
