God knew humans would sin.
Acting on homosexuality isn't the only sin in the Bible. There are many people who commit adultery, and the whole time, I never see them question their faith in God.
If I have to change what I was born to do, then obviously the religion wasn't right for me.
If you are a Christian and a homosexual struggling with your sexuality and beliefs, I promise you, all you have to do is ask God for forgiveness. All you have to do is ask to be saved. There is no gray area in that aspect of Christianity.

People believe in God and engage in all kinds of sins.
The Bible is very clear that sin is sin, period. It doesn't matter whether it's telling a lie, murder, lust, or homosexuality.
The Bible says having a sexual relationship with someone of the same sex is wrong. Either you believe it or you don't.
In the end, we are all sinners seperated from God. It is only by faith in Jesus Christ that we can be acceptable to God.
That said, the Bible is also clear that if you truly love God you will turn from your sinful ways.
But again, the homosexual is no more or no less a sinner than the person who lies about their income on their taxes or takes a few pieces of candy from the candy store without paying for is.
Sin is sin is sin. Only humans have created a scale or degree of sinfulness. It's all the same to God.

I think it's complete crap that people would be against anyone who loved it doesn't matter what sex they love, God tell us not to judge others and it isn't Christian like so yea I do believe that you can be homosexual and also believe in God. They also say that being Christian is the only "right" religion but I believe it's all about you and your relationship with God and it doesn't matter what religion you do believe pretty much the big man or woman upstairs is going to love you for you and do realize that no one is perfect but I don't believe loving someone is a sin and is right up there with murdering someone.

The only person that knows if you believe in God is you (and God). Being gay or a lesbian has nothing to do with weather or not you believe in God. However, the Bible does say that woman was made from man to compliment each other and that this is why a man will leave his family and find himself a wife. The issue of being gay or lesbian is between yourself and God. As far as believing in God, if you believe, you believe, if you don't you don't. If you question it, find a good Bible and/or priest, minister etc... (whatever you are most comfortable with) and start asking your questions.

i dont think its a sexual urge at all..commin from a "straight" person i believe that if there is truly a god he he/she/it..well accept u/them any way they are!!! most kids grow up showing that they may be gay in the future and i doubt if theres any sexual urges at such a young age. Many people try not to be gay and get married and have children then years down the road they say im gay and i always have been. some people even kill themselves because they dont know how to deal with god and they're sexuality!! I THINK U SHOULD B WHO U WANT TO BE...INSTEAD OF LIVIN A UNHAPPY LIFE IN THE NAME OF GOD!!

1) by believer in God, there are MANY religions and denominations of said religions. Each one has different rules and beliefs. So yes, it is possible to be Gay and believe in God.
2) Even if you believed in a religion that said that being Gay was a sin, you could still be Gay and believe in God.
a) example: The Catholic church says only that ACTIVE homosexuality is a sin. The mere attraction to members of the same sex is not a sin, acting on that attraction is. So you could be a non-practicing gay/lesbian and still be a good Catholic. I'm sure it is similar in some other religions.
b) example: you could be a practicing homosexual and still believe in that religion - you would just be knowingly putting yourself in a state of sin.
3) You could believe in God, be gay and not belong to any particular religion. You could just "believe in God" without any particular slant or membership.

That's not true, but you can't believe in god and be smart..
Ooooh ok, sorry that will get me in trouble.
In all honesty, if you believe in god, no one on Earth really can say much about it. No one here knows anything, so you really have to go by what you feel is true. We are all searching around in the dark pretty much.
The best thing to do though, is to be the best human being you can be, and be good to others around you. Everything else will sort itself out in the end right?

This statement was said by a very narrow minded individual. Just remember that ignorance is the root to all fears. Personally, I believe that God is unconditional love - you keep believing in him and be true to yourself because I promise you, living for others will only make you a bitter and unhappy person.

If some people think that people like Fred Phelps can get into Heaven, I don't see why someone who just happened to love a person of the same gender wouldn't get in.
People don't choose to be gay - it's hardwired into them. They can pretend to be straight, but that's deception. They can refrain from being 'actively' homosexual, but that's no different than you refraining from being 'actively' heterosexual. It's not healthy to deprive oneself of a chance at real love.
I couldn't believe in a higher being that would create people solely for the purpose of condemning them or psychologically torturing them. That just seems evil.

It is absolutely true - your introductory sentence. Individuals can make this rule but it does not apply if you feel different. So stop beating yourself up - presuming that you speak of yourself. You do not need forgiveness from anyone. You have committed no sin. This bunk re sin of homosexuality comes form Leviticus. Those who condemn you should go back and read all the other things listed as sins, selling your daughter etc. Good life to you.
