It sure is....medical issues such as infections, cysts etc can have it happen. PLUS you can also ovulate 2 or more eggs following that....You can also ovulate and have the egg not make it into the fallopian tubes (they have to float over from the ovary)

I have female issues and only ovulate from one ovary....the other one just sits there producing estrogen but nothing else. Lovely huh?

I believe so. I have a friend who's sister-in-law (if I understand correctly) only ovulates once every six months. I am not a nurse or a doctor, so I would ask one or do some more research. Every thing I have to say has been hearsay. I believe that stress can also be a factor in your ovulation (not just your period, but your actual ovulation). Sports also, I think it has to do with similar reasons as stress, just a different kind of stress on your body. Bottom line though, if you are at all concerned, I would talk with your physician about it.

I think it is, some women skip their period, and since this would be where the egg lands waiting for fertilization, i would assume that if you dont have your period then you didn't ovulate. Some other medical problems could be at work though so get it checked out.

Yes it is possible not to ovulate, but it could indicate an imbalance with your hormones. If it happens more than once in a row, I would say you may have trouble conceiving. Not that you will, but you may.

Yep - some women only ovulate every other month or less, especially if there's a problem with one ovary.

You can ovulate but the egg may not implant at all, making the lining not slough off for the menstral cycle.

Yes. If anything in your body is out of wack then it can throw your menstrual cycle off. Antibiotics, too much exercise, stress, anything. If you're really worried though go and see your doctor. He/She can help ease your mind.
